Gotta have a stupid question every now and then

So I was looking at some things on DPMS. I noticed they have a upper chambered for 7.69X39. What mags and lower parts does this use? I have .223, going to build a 6.8, why not a 7.69X39 also .

Yea I know they are good people, they are just in the middle of a big computer change over so things are a little crazy for them right now. I just was curious if anyone had built one and knew a little about them. Would be kind of fun to have them with different rounds for them.

          10rd 762x39 $22.00

          10rd 762x39 $15.00

Lower parts kit would be the same, just the upper would be diff.

The dpms upper would be a great fit for the "AR-47" lower that is manu. by Vulcan. That lower, iirc, uses ak mags. I think Metroshot was selling the lowers.

My MGI quick-change-barrel upper JUST came in (as in, tonight), so I'm probably gonna try and do 7.62x39mm, 6.8spc, and 50 Beowulf that way.

Pics upcoming. They may take forever to ship things, but the product looks pretty neat. I'm probably gonna be forced to buy a barrel, BC, and charging handle to populate it at the Costa Mesa show.

Here's my DPMS 7.62x39 setup. It uses a standard lower and regular LPK. The mags are 7.62 mags that are made by MWG. Here's the link:

I really like the upper, it's pretty accurate.

Very cool. Now I am wondering if the actual upper is also for the AR15. DPMS doesn't make a 7.69X39 in a flat top so I am thinking I should be able to just get a upper for a AR15 and then buy the bolt and barrel for the 7.69X39 (and yes I know a charging handle and so on). I would rather have a flat top so I think that might work. I'll have to figure this one out.

YOU HAVEN'T HEARD OF THE DOJ APPROVED 7.69 x 39 ROUND??? You're allowed to have all the evil features with detachable mags if you use this round.

You're also allowed to register it as an AW! but there's only a two week registration window...better hurry!
