    Ammo transfer fee question

Ordered some ammo to come to local gun store. They want 50 dollars for a transfer fee, is that steep? Anyone else have any experience?

Yes. I pay $15 at Golden State Arms. No limit.

      Should have asked first.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

Well I knew it was high, but needed more rounds for chasing birds. But they well be losing a customer or two.

Always ask first : (1) Out of State fire arms transfer. (2) Ammo transfer. The fees for those two services is NOT set by state of CA, LGS can charge whatever that want.
The place I used to go, charges : $5 for every 500rds , but for .22LR ammo they charge less (I forget how much).

Move to SD - Gunfighter Tactical are some of the most upstanding shop owners in the country. No fee, super awesome and helpful group of dudes.

If I could I would only ever do business with them.

At least you knew it was high.

Let me guess, they sell 5.56 for $1/rd and 9mm Luger 115gr fmj for $0.6/rd, and Glock 17 for $1k?

Look up the definition of "to smear", that's not what you would be doing if it is indeed fact. You would be exposing another short-sighted store that is choosing to gouge.

#1, it's not a smear if its the truth.

#2, I'd say the right thing to do is to name the shop...maybe save a brother Calgunner from a big surprise.

With all the whining about out of the world gun prices, I'd say you need to help out.

Naming gougers is not a smear.

It is a "PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT".

Ft courage 12 bucks for up to 1k rounds plus sales tax. OP should not hide his location and should say if fees include sales tax. More info helps. Lots of posts like this without info . Who is the ffl?
