I am sure many here already know this but they have been a very solid place to shop over the years. I recently tried to buy a matched receiver set. They usually have very good prices on what I am looking for and this was no exception. Plus it is a hard to find, discontinued item that matched a handguard I have. Unfortunately, due to CA laws and the difficulty/peril of interpreting those laws out of state (PA is in TX) they could not send the parts because of their interpretation of the law.

Now, I could get all bent out of shape and complain how "dumb" it is that they won't send it due to OUR screwy laws. I also understand that it can be risky if FFL's interpret CA laws wrongly. They've got lawyers that tell them what is/isn't ok and it's their business. They have supported CA for a long time otherwise.

The thing that really gets me, and the reason for my praise, (Not that I blame them in any way) the guy I emailed with was so nice about the rejection, and actually responded to a couple of questions I had after that, he was understanding and apologetic, I really don't feel that bad about not getting the parts. It's a bummer, but there are other parts.

Since they are the only ones that had the original parts I was looking for I'll have to order a different set. They sell the other set and actually have the best price around on it. Looks like I'll be ordering form them again!

Are you able to post what you were trying to buy and why it was rejected for shipment?

I have gotten stripped and complete receivers from them recently with no problems

Hi. Sorry, I wasn't trying to be evasive. I just didn't want people to pile on. I was trying to order their last Mega MATEN receiver set. Apparently since it has an ambi bolt release installed it is a NO GO. Their lawyer(s) seem to have taken the stance that if anything is installed on the upper lower it is non compliant. I tried to explain and I certainly don't blame them. Of course my word is not going to be taken over their legal counsel.
