    Are these safe to shoot?

I bought some PMC 10mm fmj, and there's 1 or 2 rounds in every box where the bullet is seated too low.

Pic for comparison, good round on the left.

Were these factory new ammo? Or PMC boxed ammo of questionable authenticity? Where did you buy them?

Factory new. I picked them up at a local shop in Palm Desert. All in total it's only 7 rounds that are bad

Years ago, I had similar experience with PMC 357 mag ammo that were loaded in a Marlin lever action. After an extended period of time in the tubular mag and a coupe rounds had same issue you are currently experiencing. Weak crimping..

One appears to have a ripple on the brass. I would not shoot them

Bullet setback can spike the pressure and blow up your pistol.
You hands and eyes can get really damaged too

Contact PMC. Send pictures of the bullets and the lot number from the box. Im sure they will make you whole.

Those look like some of my mistake rounds. Those flat noses sometimes don't make it in the die and you go too fast...

                    I would not run them.

Take them apart and reload later. I'd be surprised if that one far right would even chamber.

Even if you don't reload, get one of these. A few taps until bullet is where it belongs. Then chamber load those particular rounds and shoot them.

We see more and more such issues. Usually caused by the bullet hitting the feed ramp.

                            ESPECIALLY with 10mm pressures.

Definitely contact PMC, and let 'em know.

No. Good for you for inspecting the rounds in adequate light prior to shooting.
