Brownells will. And they do not have a large enough metal piece for the serial number to technically be ok to build in CA.

If you build into break top single shot dimensionally compliant handgun and register it, it’s legal

Nope. It still doesn't have the required amount of steel embedded in the frame for the serial #.

Is it because there was a deadline, that's how it got registered. Now it cannot?

It is currently not illegal to possess 80% polymer pistol frames. It's just not possible legally to build them into a firearm in California.

So if any company ships them to California, whats the point? Legally anyway?

Refer to section 29180PC. Since July 2018 Polymer 80% frames are required to have 3.7 oz of stainless steel embedded in the frame for the serial #.

Yep, roger that. And the plate in the frame is not nearly that weight

I thought I saw someone pin and weld a metal mag well extension and engrave their serial # there.

I wanted to order a couple polymer 80 Glock 19 kits for my first build and don’t know if anyone would ship a kit to California.

                      1. It is CA legal to advertise "80% receiver/frames" for sale in CA and to transfer (buy/sell/etc) them in CA.

                      2. It is CA illegal to utilize a polymer "80% receiver/frame" to make a firearm in CA.
This is because no commericially available polymer 80% has the CA required 3.7oz of PH 17-4 stainless steel embedded in it, in such a manner that removal will significantly damage or destroy the receiver/frame.

                      3. It is CA legal to possess a polymer "80% receiver/frame" in CA, as long as it not utilized to make a firearm.

Starting 07-01-2022, it will be CA illegal to make, import, advertise for sale, or transfer "80% receiver/frame" in CA, unless it is done by or through a CA DOJ licensed vendor or CA FFL dealer. Transfer will required CA DROS and background check.

Get it to CA? For what? You just like collecting pieces of polymer?

you can have them as 80% but they are illegal to make in to a gun due to the stupid ca roster of approved bs guns. the charge would also being manufacturing of a "unsafe" handgun
