    80% lowers...grab a few?

    Asking for a friend...wink wink

So this friend lives in a mostly free state. Thinking about purchasing a few 80% lowers as a hedge against future democrat gun grabbing schemes.

His money could be better spent on other preps like more regular capacity mags. Several of his weapons were acquired from private sellers in the various free states he lived in over the years and are about as traceable directly to him as an 80% would be...maybe even less since his purchases weren't recorded in a company database that could easily be subpoenaed by commies.

I figured you guys who have lived thru the commie uprising in CA could offer some good 80% procurement advice.

Never hurts to have stuff in a box in the closet.

But stay on top of law changes, and don't have a felony in the box in the closet, if the law goes that direction.

If you can find any, they’re a bit pricey now.

Might try and find a jig kit too.
My nephews and me put a lot of miles on one of the 80% Arms kits. Of course we destroyed all of the lowers that we didn't register.

The Gen 1 AR-15 Easy Jig® is perfect for precision machining of your 80% lower receiver. Order an 80% lower receiver router jig for yourself right here!
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

Why don’t you just get already serialized lowers, like $40 Anderson

Your friend in a free state can buy stripped lowers all day long without registration. Absolutely no need for 80% stuff.

Thanks for the suggestions and tips, guys.

I guess I beat around the bush too much regarding my friend's scenario. So I'll beat slightly less around the bush.

I guess the information my friend is after is...say the Cuban general in charge of the Russian/Cuban invasion of Colorado says to look up all the 4473's and round up the trouble makers.

Would my friend, who's moved around a few states, be more apt to be on a list if he purchased 80% lowers online? Or purchased from a LGS 8 to 10 years ago in a stste he no longer lives in?

I think the reality is if you were ever on "The List" you will always be on it... I collect NFA stamps there is zero hiding for me... But, I live in a free state and I sold everything else I bought a long time ago after moving here.

Sometimes having enough spare parts to assemble multiple fully functional rifles can be quite handy

I would hope that at the first sign of foreign occupation the local FFL would have a 4473 bon fire.

Now that I think about it that wouldn't be a bad idea right now!
