HELP! How to take quality pics of your guns

Years ago there was a thread here on CG which explained in great detail how to use a light box to take great pictures of your guns. It even included appropriate settings for your 35 mm camera. I used the instructions to take really good pics of some of my guns, but now I can't find it.... It was once a Sticky. Does anyone know where it it?

Thanks in advance for any help.

One of these kits or similar is great for starters.
        I have one.

        I'm just an amature.
Pic using kit and an older Sony e-camera:

Just use a phone and natural light, with any interesting background. Those lightbox pics are so boring.

            You can do diffused....

Or direct - either way just let the sun do all the work for you. No special gear required.

If you use direct lighting, realize that early and late sun is preferable... mid-day sunlight is harsh and unflattering.

What do they do with them after collecting??

What's worse are the morons to take a pic of the gun with either or a wad of money, a knife, a watch, a glass of liquor, or any and all non-gun crap.

I manipulate all my serials in photos, unless it is a historic piece. Google/FB may *think* they know what serial I have, but they don't

And that is why it would be idiotic of them to even try - because I am not the only one who does it.

This is only true of the camera part. You still need good lighting and to know what you are doing.

Gun photos are supposed to be laid out on a messy bed with bare feet in the lower corner.

Cell phones now can take amazing photos.
Use natural light and some and some fill will do the job just fine...But if you want a detail shots, get yourself a macro lens and a camera of your choice..
