Which to Keep Sig Legion 226 or 229

Picking up a Sig 226 SAO 9mm Legion with Romeo and a Sig 229 DA/SA 9mm Legion with Romeo. Which one should I keep and sell the other? Both NIB. Is one more desirable than the other. The 229 could be a CCW gun I suppose. In the Sacramento area

For me, it would be the one I shoot best, is the one I would keep. They both balance a bit differently.

I shoot the 229 better, have both

P229 is probably more desirable and the one i would keep if i had to sell one.

I would buy a 1911, a few glocks and a beretta or two and and a few other pistols. Then try them out for a few years to see which you like, and keep them all.

          I already have a Sig 226, 229 and Sig 1911. Had a X-5 Legion and I keep going back to the P-Series

Have both the 226 Legion SAO and 229 Legion DA/SA. I prefer the 229. for me it is more versatile. Both triggers are really good but the edge would go the to 226 SAO. 226 is more of a range gun for me while the 229 can do just about everything I need it to.

I don't understand the concept of picking up 2 guns and trying to decide which one to sell before even getting them. Why both getting both if you know you will sell one ? Buy both, shoot both, sell the one you don't like, I guess.

But I have been buying guns since the mid 1970s and not sold a single one yet.

do you/can you CCW if so the 229 since DA/SA

If you can't or don't want to ccw, IMO the SAO226 everyday of the week will be better shooter/comp/HD gun.

My 229 goes out more often than my 226. YMMV

The SAO just a bit different than a DA/SA

instead of selling one, get a p220 legion!

Simple answer. Keep the 229...great gun.

Keep both. Both are excellent guns and you will regret selling one. These are not on the roster, so will be tough to replace if you do have regrets.

Another way to think of it is: How will you feel in 10 years? SIG will remove Legion from their line-up and getting one will be even more difficult.

Buy some ammo, take them to the range, and enjoy both for what they are.

                            Personally, I like DA/SA.

TBH in Legion trim I actually prefer the 226.

The 229 feels best with the EE grips IMO.
