Very small very local GS had a box today for $39 had to get it. Is this old stock? I was picking up a Ruger Super Redhawk in Casull but they didn't have any. Saved $1

They only had the one box. They had cci for $8 per 50 and 100ak for $60! The Guns Store, Sac

I remember buying the same box at Walmart for $9.99. It's was right before the 22LR ammo shortage a few years ago.

I haven't shot 22 in years when did the shortage for that start? I was assuming the same as March this year.

If I recall correctly, it was the ammo shortage during Obama. 8 -10 years ago?

Not a great price at under .08 a round, but it's below the going rate of .11 to .15 a round.

It's the only caliber I didn't stock up on and I wanted some. Since I don't shoot 22lr much it should last me a few more years. But when I see prices drop I'll make sure to stock up so this doesn't happen to me again.
