Paul's lock & key in Lodi can do it. They're a little rough, but they do it.

Any neighbors with a forklift? If need be you can rent a fork for a day.

I'd just really suggest you use someone known, reputable, insured & bonded; you don't want to become a target by some scumbag min. wage musclehead finding where you live, where your safe is located, etc. etc.

Can you call your local locksmith or safe dealer? Most safe dealers will move I think any safe for a fee...

Haha! You reminded me of a very short interaction I had several years ago. I bought a crappy little safe at Walmart.com, had it sent to the store in Oakland when there was a store on Hegenberger. It weighed about 200#. Two upstanding young Walmart employees helped to wheel it out on a handcart. We went to pick it up and put it in the truck and they both said, "Yo, where the guns at?!". Though this safe was not for guns I was sorry I bought it there knowing that somewhere my purchase info was in there system just a few clicks from being found.

Just out of curiosity, what did they charge you & how do they determine the charges?

ie; is there a flat fee + mileage over a certain base amount or how do they work it?

Thanks & glad you found someone reputable!

                  Yep....scary!

                  It's very real.

We always talk about the need for discretion when dealing with your firearm ownership, preparedness supplies, etc.

                  Safe movers are people too.

And not people you want knowing what you have & where you have it.

We paid $425 for them to pallet, wrap and box. They then used their lift gate to put it in the truck. They then helped me out and put a log splitter I bought off a friend, inside the the truck. It weighs 750lbs, saved me a huge amount of time for the drive back to Idaho.

I paid similar to get mine into the back of a U-haul Zamble, paid $250 at this end for two rednecks with a really cool truck-mounted contraption to unload it and put it in the downstairs. It is what it is, my safe weighs 1,100 and I did the "three guys and an appliance dolly" thing years ago when I put it in that house, never again. It is what it is, we all like to save money but there's no savings if you or someone else gets hurt.
Buy made in USA whenever possible.

I agree. I was in a pinch. The safe was expensive, very expensive and leaving it or selling it at a big loss was not an option. But it more than worked out with them putting the splitter inside the truck. It has no trailer lights and I am not sure about the legality of driving at night with it. So the time I saved by not having to drive at trailering speeds and bringing the safe, made it an expense I happily paid.
