Have you tried swapping the battery? Just flip the stronger T2 battery to the weaker one and check if it makes a difference.

Yup, tried a new battery with zero difference.

At which point, I suggest calling Aimpoint first. If you still want one, theyll take care of you.

        Good luck!

I'm gonna check with Scalerworks first, as they were the ones who took my $800 for it. See what they want to do.

            DEFINITELY see your eye doctor!

Setting 5 is enough for me in bright sunshine on my T-1; I like 3 in complete darkness!

Negative. Did you read the entire post? Check your eyes lol!
For the forum, I've spoken with leads with both companies and have some FYI updates as we continue to move through this fantastic (/s) year:1. Aimpoint Brightness Levels (may be specific to micros) -

Summary - Aimpoint changed the output on their micros. *No reason why. *Older version setting 8 is the new version setting 9. *So, newer are dimmer and will drain the battery at the same setting equivalency as the old

Got in contact with Scalerworks today, they confirmed AP did change the brightness level settings. They offered a refund if I wanted to go that route but I declined. Kudos to Scalarworks. I do have to say the Scalerworks mount is top notch. Very very nice packaging and swag. The engineering that went into the mount, craftsmanship quality, and the packaging are a home run. If you purchase anything from directly from them, you will be happy.

I created a thread on here a couple weeks ago comparing the brightness of new Aimpoints to an older one. It appears Aimpoint made the change to all of their red dots. The Comp M5 is also dimmer at the 5-year battery setting compared to the T1. I've read several threads saying that the current batch of the PRO is dimmer.

From what I've read about the current H2, the dot isn't visible in the first few settings so they might as well call them night vision settings.
