As good a place as any to ask - does anyone have a recommendation for a QDRO attorney in the Los Angeles area?

Is it your asset or are you trying to get a share of your ex's? If it's your and you have an agreed upon division settlement then talk to the firm that handles it. I have Fidelity and they had a system to generate the legal papers. I just had to sign and submit to the court. Was pretty easy.

Both. That's what I assumed, but it is in the mediation paperwork. I'll ask the mediator to clarify.

Duh. It's for the pension part of my union plan. So definitely needs to be dealt with by a lawyer. The other stuff a paralegal can do.
