No clue on why they would say that. Maybe to protect themselves from warranty claims from people using old school mil surp with corrosive primer? Should be fine to shoot Tulammo or wolf

Btw I just got a complete 7.62x39 AR bear creek upper (incl bcg and Ch) for $312 shipped

It was cheaper than trying to piece it all together myself. One thing I liked was their “1moa guarantee” and the 300blk feed ramp on the barrel extension (not m4 feed ramp). Cheapo upper to plunk with cheapo ammo seemed right to me!

I hear you on that. I have had a good experience with Anderson lower and I use a bunch of their parts too (buffer, ch, etc)

        Good luck with your build

There are so many opinions and options on featureless parts, and my $0.02 is to use the strike stock stop and simple fin grip. Really cheap and they work

What is the composition & coating of the barrel? If it's plain CrMoV without any chrome lining or nitriding, then yeah I wouldn't recommend steel case ammo be put through it either. Not because something will go wrong, but the lack of longevity. Of course that's relative, it can still shoot 1000s of rounds without issue, it's just that it won't last as long as another barrel that does have chrome or nitriding. But that won't be noticeable until after you've put a few $$thousand worth of ammo through the gun first.

I used a $99 ARD nitride Hbar barrel from Delta Team Tactical, amazingly accurate. It's supposed to last to over 25k rounds. I have around 5k through it. I replaced an extractor, that's it.

That rifle always shoots, it's very reliable and does 2 moa with 21 cent Golden Tiger ammo.
