    Gun karma census

Sooo I recently bought a rifle which had a price tag of about $1400 at a mom and pop shop. The lady apparently rang me up for $14.00 instead and she never noticed. Mind you this was out of state. What would you do? Tell her? Or enjoy your $14.00 rifle? Just curious what CG thinks in this pandemic.

It's a mom and pop shop, so do what's right. If it was a huge corporation, I'd say you got lucky, and don't say a word.

Situational ethics is wanting. Huge corporations are made up of employees who get fired for short counts on the till, and shareholders who are counting on a profitable business.

Go back and tell them. You will pay 10 times for it down the line if you don't. True story.

Any dishonest transactions come back on you karma wise. Your honor is all you have in the end and nothing man made is worth it. Your reputation can follow you everywhere. Do the right thing and make it right. I have pointed out mistakes in my favor in the past and found new friends and better deals.

Lol just to be clear I’m not asking for advice. I immediately told the lady as soon as a I saw it being debited from my account. I figured I would play a bit of devils advocate here. Maybe even catch a Nigerian prince while I’m at it.
See this is why I love CG!! Just tears me up knowing I’m part of this type of community!
Truth be told, the lady was such a sweet heart. She took the time to help me configure the rifle so that she can ship it to me which she didn’t have to since a lot of out of state shops simply deny shipping to CA. In any case the moral of this story is stay honest with your fellow A2’er and STOP PRICE GOUGING DAMNIT! That is all.
