Look on the bright side. $40 is a cheap Ebay lesson learned.

Aren't those purpose built for people running S15s?

        Agree.

I tried everything and couldn't get it to fit my G43.

I'm not even sure it's the right part.

43 or 43X/48? There is a difference. Shield has not ever made a 43 mag release that I can see.

And the Shield Arms 43X catch is not advertised by Shield as being extended. It is just made from steel and designed to work with their steel mags. And Shield sells them for $27.

Shop Shield Arms' patented S15 magazines for Glock 43X/48 with 50% more capacity. American-made firearm accessories, magazine extensions, and precision parts.

I am assuming you bought this, from this smalltime seller trying to unload old spec aluminum catches that Shield does not even make anymore

At least he clearly states they are aluminum and he does not accept returns. But he fudged it when he claimed 'slightly extended'

And those catches will eat your plastic mags quick, and they are universally hated by anyone running steel S15 mags because they will wear out in 200-300 rounds. Which is why they are no longer made.

I don't think bashing Shield Arms is the right play here. This sounds more like a typical 'buyer beware on ebay' story. Do your own research and never trust ebay descriptions. The current spec is steel, and Shield never called either catch 'extended' in fact they say it has a lower profile.

And just to reiterate, do not run aluminum or steel catches unless you plan to exclusively use Shield Arms steel mags. And then, only run the steel catch.

I think the ebay seller BS'd the sell and took you to cleaners so to speak. I have one on my 43X with the S15 mags. works great with factory Glock ones as well... bought direct from Shield Arms. Know several with their products and no issues. I even got the plus 5 G19 extensions. Comes with new spring and work great... 20 rnds...

Yeah, you may want to edit that title. Shield is doing good work. If they didnt screw you, I'd hate for people to think they did.
