    Daniel Defense DDM4 availability

Was doing a PPT at LGS (not Turners) and owner told me they have a brand new DDM4V7 on hand for $2k (fixed mag, including tax and fees).
I always wanted one but was hoping for the price to come down back to $1600s for a new one.
Is it really that hard to find a new DDM4 these days? Is that a good price?

More difficult than usual. Price seems fair given the market.

If I had 2k, and NEEDED an AR, I would buy it with NO regrets.

Get them to throw in a 500 pack of 5.56 and it's a sweet deal. Seriously, It would be a good deal even if they just threw in 50 rounds.

The price is good...just get it, and worry about ammo right now.

But seriously, the price is good. You won't find those "discounted" lol. If you don't like the price and quality, then move on to a PSA or bushmaster lol. And remember, we're in California, so we pay more for everything lol.

Just stopped by a turners store, told me there are around 50 ppl on waiting list and ppl ordered from July just got their ddm4, so around 3 months wait but $200 cheaper.

Jump on it, if it's not gone already.

The DDM4V7 is a great rifle, albeit a little overgassed. I have two and have run the dog piss out of one of them and still 100% reliable and accurate. Not sure I've even had a malfunction yet to be honest.

I feel sorry for people just getting in to firearms at these current criminal prices though. I paid around $1500 for each of mine.

I can't tell you how to spend your money, but waiting 3 months to save $200 wouldn't factor in my equation much. 3 Months well into 2021 (well into the Harris presidency ) when you factor in additional time for further delays, going back and forth with turners, BS, etc.

I would take the LGS gunstore rifle and have it in hand. Same for the compliance devices....that should't matter, you can change out to AR Maglock later. So what if you have to pay for it...there aren't any free rides, and in this political/economic environ the only thing certain is uncertainty.

I say go get the gun you want now and eat the $200 "savings for 3 month wait" and compliance device. Don't worry man, everything cost more now. The $200 is peanuts in relation to the time and uncertainty with the Turners deal. Stack the deck in your favor and get the gun now. Then you can move on to pick out your ammo, optics, light, and other fun accessories.

Hopefully the gunstore rifle is still there. Someone else probably has their sights on it literally. No one can predict the future...waiting for the rifle to drop back down to $1600 is dicey at best. Think about supply vs demand.

The cost went up on DD rifles after they had to be made complaint, fixed mag.
A DD is an investment, sort of. They hold their value, I would avoid any solution which requires drilling into the lower.
