    Look harder and faster imo.
I've gotten deals this year that would be unavailable during precovid.

Last handgun purchase - cz75 compact, near new, 500 at the height of covid.

Last rifle purchase - hit armory made and sold m72b1 16", $950 out the door. (Not of those crap made by Century AKs priced at 1000+).
*Probably a bad time to jump to team AK, but it is a quality RPK made by reputable AK builder at low supply times seems better than what is offered on the marketplace.

      Show some compassion. Geez!

If you were being sarcastic I get it and agree.

My response to people who think this way: Grow the F up. My daughter needs a car, I think you should sell her yours for $5000 less than you could get on Craigslist, just because she needs it. Have compassion...

Its always easy to be compassionate when its someone else's money!

Your BS socialist attitude is what's wrong with this country.

If you cannot negotiate with someone to sell you something at a price you are willing to pay, stop whining. No one cares and you sound like an entitled azz wipe.

Not surprised, you keep bragging about how much ammo you have (I brag too).

You're making me feel, somehow, inadequate. I need more ammo! LOL

People trying to gouge for basic supplies and necessities should be thrown in jail. Or they should be robbed of all the supplies they are trying to gouge. If a store is charging double or triple what the going rate is for food, water, or anything else then if they are looted and robbed, they deserved it.

Eight months ago, everybody on this forum could have walked into any gun store, or any online store and bought as much as they could afford, but most people didn't. We've had at least a couple years of great deals, rebates, and sales on guns and ammo. If you didn't take advantage of it, then shame on you. The only people I feel bad for are those that are just getting into shooting, and not even all of them. All the liberals who think the Second Amendment needed to be abolished until they saw riots in the streets, well F them. They can pay up. For all the kids that are turning 18 or 21 and just getting their first gun, hopefully they have friends or family that can help them out.

Anybody who's been into guns for any length of time has heard the phrase "buy it cheap, stack it deep". But most people never learn their lesson and they get to pay.

There are laws in various jurisdictions about about price gouging, so law abiding citizens need to mind those. Despite those laws, price ceilings don't solve the problem you allude to. If you artificially hold down prices in an excess demand environment, then you will run out of supply, and the less scrupulous folks who were able to buy at the artificially low prices might price gouge on the secondary market anyway. That's a brilliant solution that flies in the face of neo-classical microeconomics - and reality.

its called supply and demand 8 months ago wholesalers could barely move guns or ammo now a estimated 25% of the population is buying guns and ammo vs the normal 3% of the population, so of course price will flex based on demand (same as off roster guns) if some one needs it bad enough they will buy it at whatever price it is.

All I know is i'm glad I bought what I did when Walmart was cleaning the shelves and really wish I should have bought more. But i'm comfortable with what I have at this point. I had a little remorse because I thought I really didn't need it at the time but looks like I got lucky.
