    Good Books?

For years I have just gone shooting at the range, come home, cleaned the gun, repeat. But I'm getting more interested in how they work, more interested in rifles and ammo ballistics, etc. I'm wondering if anyone can suggest a few good books about firearms which might speed up my learning curve. I do pick up a lot of knowledge both here and from magazines, but I thought there might be a few well-known books that I just don't know about. Any suggestions?

    Thanks, Mike

I'm currently reading a hunters guide to long range shooting by Wayne van Zwoll. It starts out as a history of how rifles progressed which was interesting. He also talks about many of the different calibers. So far its more information about the guns than a guide to long range shooting but I like the book and I have defiantly learned a lot.

Precision Shooting magazine and Shooting Times magazine. Many books published by Precision Shooting.

Thanks for the tips. Looks like Precision Shooting magazine has a great book section. Looks like a good place to start.
