Makes sense for Ruger since there are likely more Rugers and Marlins than anything else at SASS events nationwide.

Anyone noticed in there that Franklin Armory is buying Bushmaster?

The Big News to me is:
Franklin Armory Holdings, Inc., or its designated assignee, as the Successful Bidder with respect to the Bushmaster brand and certain related assets
That means the ACR May continue to be developed! Franklin Armory makes cool stuff.

Looks like the Navajo Nation didn't win the bidding on Remington. Or were they actually in it?

Marlin should be fine with Ruger, as long as they keep it with the rifle group v. the handgun group.

I wonder if Covid had anything to do with that. The Nation took a huge hit from it.

Forget what they call the new company. I just woke up to the fact that I now own a rare piece of American firearms history, a Marlin 795. Excuse me while I go work up a for sale ad....

I have an 1187 in for warranty work (crooked sight). Im pretty nervous. I called and talked to them today. I wished them well and told them that we are all rooting for the employees to have good transition through all of this and to maintain their livelihood. Of course then I asked if their warranty department was furloughed. Guy said that they were business as usual.

Then i asked how the production line was going.....he kinda dodged the question. So I dunno. I want to pick up another new 870 just to support them.....not real picky about which model.

This has got to suck. I wish you the best, your kind of in a tight spot.

I wonder where Remington will go. It doesn't sound like Ruger is getting Remington and Vista gets the Green Box ammo. So much history, they deserve better. There was a time that their shotguns were second to none, same with the 700. IMO, of course..

I have a Wingmaster and 1100 from the mids 80s. Both are beautiful guns. Maybe look for a used one on GB.
