Can he rehearse it a few more times? lol Seems like a bootleg version of the Operator Readiness Test. These drills are to be shot "cold" to give you an accurate baseline of your abilities on demand.

If you went through the vid, he did. The timed drill came before the practice and was edited to have the drill at the end for the video.

        He shot it cold.

I wonder why his mag didn't drop.

It didn't seem particularly fast to me. I need to give it a try. At 10 yards it seems doable.

It's difficult! The last string of 6 pistol shots are to the HEAD. 10-yard A-zone hits at 10-yards with a pistol from the draw is already at 3~4-seconds for advanced shooters. Imagine the head?

You will need to an advanced-level 2-sec for an AR15 reload.

According to the standards of Erik Lund (he came up with this drill):

            - 18 Seconds: Beginner
            - 15 Seconds: Average Joe
            - 14 Seconds: Solid Shooter
            - 12-13 Seconds: Good Shooter
            - 11-12 Seconds: Excellent Shooter
            - 10-11 Seconds: Great Shooter
            - Under 10 Seconds: Rock Star

On paper it doesn't seem that hard.

I can draw and put 2 shots in the head in under 2 seconds at 10 yards. I practice that regularly.

              On paper:

From low ready to sight picture and first shot = .75 seconds.

              Add 5 shots with .20 splits = 1 second.

Add 2 seconds for an AR reload.

Add .75 seconds for sight picture and first shot.

              Add 5 shots with .20 splits = 1 second.

Add 2 seconds for transition, pistol draw, sight picture, and first shot.

              Add 5 shots with .50 splits = 2.5 seconds.

              .75+1+2+.75+1+2+2.5 = 10 seconds.

And that's without pushing the envelope.

But actually shooting it might not be the same as calculating it on paper.
