Question about being the seller in a PPT transaction.

From what I read you're allowed 5 PPT's as the seller in a year. Is that a calendar year (Jan 1 to Dec 31) or does it mean every 365 days. Meaning if I've done 5 ppt's between March and now doe it mean I can't do another until March 2021?

Does anything even happen if you do 6 or 7 or are you just risking a knock at the door?

So the answer is yes and no. So it might cause a phone call asking what is going on to you or your FFL. If you are not acting like a dealer or buy off roster to flip you should be fine.

If you do six or seven in one year it'll probably fly out under the radar.

Cause they're mine and I want to.

Maybe I'm moving, wife has cancer, kid needs money for rehab, my '70 AMX needs a transmission, getting a sex change operation, any number of reasons I might need to free up some capital.

To liquidate my collection? Seriously, if I wasn't limited to 5 a year, I'd probably post a bunch for sale right now.

If one person's join date is 11/2019 (today is 9/2020), and has already 28 documented iTrader which 20 are confirmed sold transactions. If DOJ really wants to look into the 20 transactions to see if they were all "guns" they can as DOJ monitor this site. Sometime iTrader is NOT good ;-)

But personally I think DOJ not gonna waste their time on small fishes.

Because I want to. Next you're going to ask why anyone would need an AR-14 or 100 clip magazines.
