Glock 17 Turner's Wait time - please share your experience

Hi! It's been 3 months for me since I put down payment with no serial number yet. How long does it take nowadays? Please share your recent post civil unrest experience.

    Many thanks in advance,
    Mike

      Ask this guy.

I have been waiting over a year just to find out if they do ammo transfers or not.

they have a long backlog of people that did the same as you. Like 500+ deep for a 17, likely 800+ for g19.

You still did not purchase it, so you can cancel if you find one from a mom n pop shop vs large chain store. They get small batches but they don't take pre orders like Turners did. First Come First Serve!!

SD guns got a couple this morning, might be higher prices than turners....

The G 17 is worth the wait.

Saw a sign on my local turners saying End of December for Glock 17’s.

While I own Glocks, if a Sig, CZ or Springfield comes up, get it. I do not own any CZ but have shot them and are owned by friends. Nothing special about the 17 worth that wait.

I bought from Turner's when I was a newbie, then got to know my LGS and got much better experience and more efficient purchasing process. In and out in 15 min and come back 10 days later for pick up

I own two G19s that I bought before “the troubles”. I’m thinking of having them both gold plated like in Goldfinger since they are now so rare and valuable

Are you waiting on a black one? They had hundreds of od green frame 17's and 19's last month. I went in, bought a 17 on impulse and picked up 10 days later.

                      Ouch! Three months?!

I'd recommend shopping around with other smaller shops. Stock is coming in, but slowly. Put email notifications on with places like Riflegear. That's how I snatched up my 2 most recent Glocks this month

Haven't been to Turners recently but I placed a Glock order on August 25 at Ammo bros Ontario and it arrived on September 17. 20 percent required to order and was told it could take up to 90 days however, they were seeing them come in sooner. A little over three weeks for me to start dros.

Went to Ammo Bros in Santa Ana yesterday to buy ammo, they were all out of 9mm and 5.56 so I bought what that had in stock which was a G19 with night sights. I guess I got lucky.

I get to pick it up in 10 days. I really don't need it, but always good have a back up to my HK VP9.

                          3. Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on target.
                          4. Know your target and what is beyond it (avoid all collateral damage).

Sincerely appreciate everyone's replies. I do owe Sig p226 and CZ SP-01. I want Glock 17 because I was able to legally buy a couple of high capacity mags during the last year's Freedom Week, so I am buying Glock 17 for my magazines ( only in CA ;-) )

sounds like a good reason to build a AR9 that uses glock mags. I have a Stern Defense adapter to mil spec lower. Worked flawless except the mag release is in different location so new shooters to the gun would yank out the whole thing.

I ended up getting a dedicated billet 9mm lower with build in magwell since they look better. And of course the mag release is in standard location.
