For the right price and terms.
Is it customary or conventional or normal? No, but I wouldn't close my mind to it.
If I could get $1,900 for my VP9 why wouldn't I pay DROS, serve champagne or cocktail shrimp if the terms of the sale met my needs?sigpic

All the new gun owners now onto buying gun #2. They learned their lessons after the first butt raping and now looking for better deals. Why would that lame use that excuse? Just offer less and don't insult your intelligence? LOL.All posts dedicated to the memory of Stronzo Bestiale

Because, net, you don't get $1,900 for the gun. You'd still be "healthy" with the ROI, but the exorbitant price can absorb the additional costs. OP has a fair price on the gun...not a lot of room to move without a loss.
More importantly, DROS isn't $125.Last edited by Dvrjon; 09-21-2020, 7:31 PM.Comment

When you buy a used car privately, you pay sales tax and registration
How many PPT pay the 10% sales tax?Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED
Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)
Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET
Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

You could write firm in your ad.
If your not firm then someone made you an offer. You declined. No harm no foul. He should have gave no reason for his lower offer.
I will say when I get low balled i find it silly to tell me can you take X because we're far away and its a long drive.
How far you drive to pick up something you wanted to buy should'nt cost me money. Lol just don't give a reason low ballersComment

The original comment about the seller paying for DROS makes sense. But a transaction is a mutually agreeable situation. No one is doing anyone a favor. I have sold a few guns and driven to their location for the transaction. I live out in the desert - my choice. If the offer is right on something I am selling, I may drive 50 miles to their dealer since I only have to do it once while the buyer has to go in twice. I am retired and easy-going. If I see something I am interested in, I may make an offer unless the seller says that the price is firm. I will not insult anyone by making a ridiculously low offer. If the item is too far for me to drive, then I don't bother to make an offer.
I have bought a few guns through Little John's auctions because I had always wanted one of them and I was willing to drive from Apple Valley to Orange if I was able to get it within my price range. I have gotten some very good deals that way, even considering the buyer's premium and the drive.Comment

And PLEASE for the Love of Odin, sort that sh*t out BEFORE you arrive at the LGS to do the paperwork. Its very rare, but when I ask "ok, whos paying the DROS?" and ya'll just stare at each other then argue about who drove furthest.....Best Collateral Pawn in SSF, we are doing PPTs by appointment. I feel if not mentioned at all, buyer assumes the cost of DROS.Comment
