AR Pistol while driving in Nevada?

I understand that in NV you can legally carry a pistol with a round chambered in your car. With a long gun, however, a round may not be chambered if you are carrying in the car, though a full magazine can be loaded in the gun.

Anyone know if an AR pistol is still treated like a pistoll by the law/LEO out there?

In Indiana, at least it's how it was years ago, a submachine gun was considered a handgun under their law. A friend of a friend that had a carry permit used to carry a full auto Uzi in his briefcase. He had occasion to exercise it once.

My understanding is yes, you can carry a loaded pistol in your car in Nv. Long guns loaded run into hunting regulation restrictions.

Thus, whenever firearms availability and prices get back into my range, I will have an AK pistol car gun.

Be careful if driving by the state border that your route does not go through CA. I’ve been forced to take a longer route to avoid crossing into the Golden Shower State.

Yes, loaded handguns are A-OK in cars even without CCW. Just mind the theft potential.

(A) a firearm which has a short stock and is designed to be held and fired by the use of a single hand; and
(B) any combination of parts from which a firearm described in subparagraph (A) can be assembled.
