Any Fun .380 Guns To Shoot?

I'm highlighting my flawed logic here, but I have thousands of rounds of .380, and no gun to shoot them. Same with .22, but I know I want a Browning Buck Mark for those.

Seems all the .380 guns are sub-compact models. Nothing wrong with that, but I'm sticking to my 9mm for carry. What I want is a gun that shoots .380 that is fun to shoot at target paper (static target). Does such exist?

I have a Walther PPK/S, but it's a 1979 West German mint box and papers safe queen. I've shot it before, but forget to grip it properly to avoid the slide bite. I don't want to put more rounds through it.

I had a SIG Sauer P238. That was small, but fun when it didn't fail to feed. To be fair, once I sent it to SIG the gun ran perfect. I'm thinking this might be the one to get? I also had a Glock 42. Hated it, and in general I actually like Glock. A lot.

But what else is there? I know folks love their SIG P232's. I've heard mixed reviews about Bersa. Plus, to be honest, I would like to find a full-size or even a compact pistol instead of these sub-compact models. What is out there I am not seeing?

On or off roster, current or discontinued, even C&R if it's still "fit" for range days...I need a gun for my bullets!

P238 is as sweet as it gets in CA. I tried the P380 from Kahr. It’s okay but I wouldn’t consider it “fun”.

I’ve heard good things about the Bersa Firestorm.

Bersa is easy and cheap. mags run 20-40 dollars. Save money on the firearm purchase and buy more mags. Short term solution.

If your gonna keep it forever I would source a beretta 84. Nice grips.

Don't forget about the classy sig 232. Old secret service pistol. Looks good stainless.

Ruger lc380 is the same size as an LC9, it's pretty fun to shoot. Get to work on trigger control with the long double action.

Beretta Cheetah (83, 84 and 85 are .380), newer PPK, Bersa Firestorm/Thunder (cheap to boot).

+1 for the LC380 in my opinion its pretty enjoyable to shoot for its size.

A Star Super SM - I have 2 of them. Adjustable sights and a mini 1911 minus the grip safety. A bit larger and much easier to shoot well than a mini. It might be hard to find one... My son loved carrying one while transitioning from a .22 to a centerfire. He wore it often on trips to Arizona and once or twice forgot he was wearing it when going into a store in Seligman. No one cared.

P238 HD is my vote. Its a fun pinker. Soaks up recoil with the all stainless frame......small but nice.

CZ 83. Love mine. Very accurate all steel mid-size.I bought mine for the same reason you are looking for a 380. My other 380 is a Colt Pony Pocketlite which other than excelling at its intended purpose, isn't much of a pistol.

                            P230/232

You already touched on my favorite .380. By far and away the Sig P230/232 is my favorite little pistol to punch paper with hands down.

I love my Bersa Thunder. A friend has a Beretta 84 and I really liked it.
