I ordered a stock from remington. It was shipped ups. This is how it arrived. It has remington logo on outside of box. I wonder if someone at ups opened it to see if it was a gun. It is about the size of a handgun box. My spidey sense is tingling. Maybe it just didn't get taped well and opened up on its own. Who knows. Nothing was damaged or missing. Im going to contact remington tomorrow just to let them know. Anyone have any thought on the matter?

Did you get what was ordered? (yes). Was it damaged? (no).

No nothing damaged. Im not bothered a bit. Im not calling to complain. Just a friendly message in case it was a UPS employee looking to score a free handgun. I'd rather it be on their radar. I also have other unrelated business to discuss with remington.Comment

Nothing new with UPS. It's all about the money, tossing packages on the regular.Comment

Unless it went missing at the Bloomington FedEx I'd imagine it's just a case of whatever you bought getting dropped, kicked, punched, run over, or whatever to tear it open and someone rubbing two braincells together to tape it back up before you lose something.
I received a front hitch receiver the other day with half the package ripped open. The UPS guy was kind enough to stick around for me to answer the door and figure out it was all there. **** happens, and this is a happening place.Calguns.net, where everyone responding to your post is a Navy Force Delta Recon 6 Sniperator.Comment

I wouldn't waste someone's time on that.Link to my feedback: https://www.calguns.net/forum/market...ser-tradecraftComment

Wait till your see what bloomington FedEx is doing.
Even if someone opened it trying to steal a gun you have no proof of it. Even if you knew the guy handing it he would just say the tape/box broke.Comment

Exactly. Probably very little packing inside, and no tape on the end. Probably had a heavier box on top of it and the end collapsed and popped open. If it's worth shipping something across the country, it's worth packaging properly and taping it securely. Most losses and damages are due to poor packaging.Comment

Dually noted. Thanks for the info. Im not calling remington specifically to tell them about this package, but still plan to mention it.
Big part of me agrees that it just wasn't taped properly. Oh well on that. All my items arrived unharmed so no foul. Thank you for all the responses. Reading the Bloomington fedex scandal threads definitely played a part in my cynicism on this deal.Comment

Yeah no tape. It appeared to be glued from remington. Most likely got caught up on a sorting machine. It just looked odd when I got it. The remington logo mixed with it being a handgun sized box mixed with the complete opened end cap got me going. No biggie.Comment

USPS in my town steals packages all the time. They just disappear. Management doesn't care- who knows, maybe they're in on it? Everyone in town knows not to ship valuables. Sad, really, but that's blue state government work for yaComment
