Yeah.. its my personal mission to out all these democrat/liberal gun owners trying to sow division in the gun community for the election. Let everyone know who these people are....

I thought accuracy was highly dependent on the ammo/barrel twist combination...

Every barrel is different and will prefer certain ammo. But as a blanket statement about the round, I would go by the specs.

      M855: Defined in MIL-C-63989
NATO specifications for M855 Ball require a 61.7 grain (q 1.5 grains) with a hardened steel penetrator at a velocity of 3,000 fps (q 40 fps) from a 20" barrel @ 78 feet from the muzzle. Typical velocity 15 feet from the M16A2's muzzle is 3,100 fps. Accuracy: maximum of approximately four MOA over the 100 to 600 yard range. Typical accuracy of average lots in an M16A2 is about 2+ MOA.

You came back to the thread but didn't address your claim?

What law makes it illegal to shoot M855 on all federal land in CA? You have given that piece of legal advice/caution twice in this thread. Surely your blanket statement isn't referring to select regional and seasonal restrictions set by BLM in some areas due to fire risk...

40-50cents availability is limited but I see it half the time I go in. Much more so than pistol calibers.

Still looking for the law or regulation. The link you provided says "do not use steel core.ammunition" under the following "Please follow this guidance during your recreational shooting experience:"
