    New hunting rifle

Been looking for one of these for some time and finally found it, put a Leupold fire dot on it. Yep a 6.5 Creedmore in a Winchester Mod. 70 Featherweight, I shot it maybe 20 rounds so far to get it on the paper and start to settle things in some and will begin working up something to hunt with shortly. For Calif hunting it will be a Barns TTSX 100 gr and for the rest of the world it will be a 120 or 140 gr something.

That 100gr TTSX works well in my 6.5X55 which is just the older brother to the crudmore
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

      I wouldn't own a Creedmore if I could have found a 6.5x55, thanks.

Nice rifle. I have the same setup in .308. It’s purdy.

Elk hunter- they are the same on paper. I already had a mil surplus 6.5X55 and dies/supplies when I bought my Tikka T-3 Lite so I found a 6.5X55. That was years ago. If I did not have the 6.5X55 and was now looking for a lower power 6.5 rifle(I have a 264win mag and 6.5X300W) i would consider the Crudmore since it would be easy to get brass and such.
BUT I am very happy with all my 6.5mm rifles. I see no need to get the Crudmore or a 260Rem. They are all the same on paper.

I also would not have a model 70. There is nothing wrong with them except I hate the safety and they do not fit me very well. It is just a personal thing. I really like tang safety rifles
