    Beware of Seller junbug815

Hello just wanted to give CG a warning on seller junbug815. We had agreed on a price and day to set up ppt for a shield he was selling. Seller then went ghost and stopped responding to me texts. So I messaged on cal guns seeing if the firearm was still available and received a message back stating it was but that the owner wanted to raise the price $150 more than our agreed upon price. Seems very flakey and sketchy that this person all of a sudden isn't the person/owner selling the firearm. Buyer beware!

That guy joined Calguns on 9/2/2020 and has 0% feedback ....
Im not surpised you had a problem ....
Most seasoned Calgunners won't deal with someone like that because, well, this is what happens....
Sorry BTW, better luck next time, most people on this site are GREAT!!!!!!
I have been lucky enough to have never have an issue.

I would suggest that the OP re-post in the “sticky” thread at the top of the page, entitled “Beware of Buyer/Seller,” or something like that. There’s a separate section in this forum for reporting scams. Good luck!

Yeah so far I haven't had any issues on here. Just not a fan of the flakes and sketchy sellers. If I don't want to sell or buy something from someone anymore I at least give them a heads up and don't leave them hanging. Dude just seems sketch. Wish there was a way to flag his account.

@Bafangoo Ah didn't see that. Sorry I don't usually post on here. Will go do that now. Thanks.

Ok posted in the buyer beware thread. Also Found another smuck trying to run game on people in here. Seller handle is Surge12. He is claiming his XD9 is brand new and that he never registered it. Then states the gun is in san jose when his his listing location says Hayward. OK that's fine maybe he lives in Hayward, however, when I then ask him what gun shop is the gun at he says bay area gun vault, which is in Mt view not San jose. These scammers aren't very good at what they do lol. Beware beware beware!

Being flakey or asking for more money is not a calguns crime. It's not clear that it wasn't a rookie mistake. If they are new, educate them on how things work here before blasting them publicly. If you have actually been defrauded, then it is relevant.

So, he just quit responding to texts, not sure how it could be described as a “rookie” mistake. Would it be better if he just left neutral feedback?

Nope but being that he is supposedly now posting for someone else and that it seems other people have had similar issues with this seller I'd say its a good chance he's scamming. However you could be correct maybe he just doesn't know how to conduct business on here. Oh well next!

How many buyers or sellers have flaked on you? I've had my fair share. I don't grab the mic and blast them. Being flaky is not grounds for a scam alert. The OP posted up two new members who haven't much more than bad manners or ignorance or both.

Did you agree to sell this gun to multiple people? You need to answer for the multiple threads. We don't tolerate BS on this forum. If you want to stick around, you need a better explanation. Don't **** with me.

To avoid "sketchy" deals, make it a habit to ignore "Selling for a friend" posts.
