Flying to CA with checked ammo

hey guys. i'm not that familiar with these ammo laws, so i figured CG Braintrust would know.

If I'm flying home to CA, am I allowed to check in 11 pounds of ammo, or is that a violation of the new ammo laws?

Did you leave with it? If not it's an infraction for a Ca resident to import ammo, not that anyone is checking.

If your state of residence is Ca then not legal to bring in.

11 pounds per person. If your wife has a bag she can bring 11 pounds also. TSA is federal and doesn’t care nor should ALL calgunners. It’s an unenforceable law that should be ignored especially with commie pricing.

              Excellent decision.

Who do you think is going to check? TSA? No! And yes you can bring some back in your bag. This "flying" thing has been discussed many, many times on here.

Go to the TSA web site and read their rules. Also do the same for the airline that you are checking the bag with. Have NEVER had TSA pay any attention to my ammo. Just keep them in their box.

TSA and airlines don’t care once it’s unloaded from the plane in CA. No one else checks. The airlines will even leave your long gun case out on the sidewalk outside the terminal, unsupervised, instead of at the claim office.

How’s that for verification of control of weapons and ammo? Ask me how I know.

Get your FFL03/COE to be exempt from the stupid import restriction.
