    New Surefire subcompact rechargeable light!

The body is made out of aluminum and the LED will give you 350 lumens with a concentrated hot-spot and surrounding spill. Battery-wise you get a rechargeable lithium polymer battery and a charger. You can charge the battery either in the charger or on the handgun.

This is awesome news. I've used the subcompact Olights because options were almost non-existent for rechargability. So I'll be swapping all those out for these Surefire ones... Just very gradually because $329 is a little steep!

      I have series 1 Surefire E1B... on my AR.22

But I really haven't cared for Surefire, since they sued PentagonLights out of business.

The olight is just missing the battery replacement, probably working on that next. I guess you can buy a few and still be under the Surefire price for a class. Ha ha

Haha, right you are. When those Olights go on sale, you can buy 4 of them for the price of that Surefire. Enough to get your through any class [emoji6]

And 30 minute battery run time on that Surefire. Please. The Olights and Streamlights will do double that.

Remember, its not all about just lumens anymore as throw is as important which a lot of companies lack in. Also, I would spend a little extra on a good company with good track record that has been combat proven and unmatched customer service.

Yes candela, and yes Streamlights are great lights, with great track record, great customer service as I have a few but to depend my life on one would be Surefire because of being combat proven.

Back in the days I used Malkoff bulbs in the older Surefire incandescent bodies and they were awesome. I currently use the newer Surefire Scout bodies with Modlite heads and im blown away by the performance of the lumen and candela. The AR15 is running the PLHV2 head @ 1350 lumens and 54000 candela, and OKW on my handheld @ 680 lumens and 69000 candela compared to a Surefire M600DF head @ 1500 lumens and 29000 candela.

Wow, those are amazing candela numbers [emoji15]. I have a Scout M600DF and was impressed with it. Might have to look into that PLHV2 head.

Yes at first I got the M600DF and its a bright light, but it lacks in the candela department. You can light up your house and rooms for CQB just fine, but when you get outside and try to light up or PID a target at long distances, it is not that great. I loved my M600DF until I found out about Modlite. Check it out!
