AK-74 parts kits

so I bought a few kits years back and rather than bastardizing these to take 556 ammo was wondering what the going rate on these are. Since everyone is out of stock I'm not sure on how i should price them. Any help would be appreciated.

My advice the OP is do your own search but they are worth a lot more than you would expect.

Wow, they’ve gone way up. How does having a Bulgarian barrel, but not original to the kit, affect that price? Correct trunnion size and all.

$1100 to $1300 range. Maybe more if you have it on GB and a bidding war starts.

I would guess 1250-1400 is my guess

The problem is finding the right customer may be more difficult now is that PSA 74's are hitting the market. The customer now will be someone who wants it for the collector aspects. I have been thinking about just scrapping any plans for 5.45 kit buying from here on out and then grabbing a PSA or waiting for kalishnikov USA's 5.45 platform to release and modifying from there.

If you have a generic kit and dont have any sentimental value or plan on building it in the next couple months, in my opinion now is the time to move it to get the most for it while the markets is still there. Some may say that the kits will always retain their value and yes they possibly will to the right person and finding them may be more difficult.

Build it yourself or take it/send it to an 07 FFL.
