Stores have not been making money for so long it's time to gouge. They want to be the ones to buy bullets at cost with their licences and make the profit.

Any law abiding citizen can actually get a FFL03 and COE and have any bullets delivered to the door. Yearly cost is $30+$71 for the first year. FFL is renewed for $30 every 3 years. COE is renewed $20 yearly. Prices subject to change. Actual rules and regulations are up to you to research.

You can also do an FFL search for garage/kitchen FFLs who will do this for you. I don't live in the Bay Area.

That article is incorrect. As an 03 holder you are not a business therefore you are not under the right to search whenever they want. Just because it’s in an article doesn’t make it true.

I really don't expect stores to sell all their ammo and components at normal prices so a few guys can finagle their way into getting all of it and then they make a bunch flipping it. During times like this I'd rather see the stores making the money so they will stay open.

My apologies, I didn't even read the entire thing carefully as I didn't plant to get one myself. It just looked like it was easier to read and step by step. Maybe some people with FFL03+COE can chime in, or know any FFLS willing to do transfers by the Bay.

I purchased a gun recently that came with ammo as part of the deal, when doing the PPT at Turner's Outdoorsman the lady said they weren't doing ammo transfers, we could not find anyone locally to do the ammo transfer, no stores would do it. So what's a law abiding citizen supposed to do when they attempt to follow the law but no place will offer the services required to follow that law...

Yes I am in the same boat. Big 5 was the last place I was hoping will do it and sounds like they are not.

I believe that Best Collateral Pawn in SSF does do ammo transfers. $20 per 500 rounds was what their price list said. That's a hike from the East Bay but I want to put it out there.
