    Complete Upper question

I have a few uppers I may end up selling as I do not use them anymore, but I don't have any idea what uppers go for (I've never bought one).

Also, should I sell them with a BCG & CH, or just the upper receiver, barrel, and handguard?

What's a ballpark price for an upper with BCG & CH, and a price without?

    Mostly I have 5.56 and .223 Wylde, but one is a 300BLK.

Really depends on the perceived quality of the parts (Bear creek vs Daniel defense, e.g.). Can vary dramatically.
In case it wasn't obvious, nothing I write here should be interpreted as legal advice.

List parts and use current prices, knock down a bit for being used. Make a deal. That's why sales is a job, do you want to sell quick or max profit...

Sell them with bolt if they have been fired. Bolt and barrel extension wear together and should stay together.

Wait for PM's with offers to buy
Add $100 to each high offer on uppers (people low ball like mofos here, lol) and place ad.
Oh, don't part them out, that's lame.

If you cobbled them together with mediocre parts, don't expect much.

Don't forget the 30% Calguns markup.

Was shopping around for an upper the other day. Still lots of stock online as well as tons in "other" marketplaces for good prices.

This. Depends on parts used but Franken-upper not going to be as valuable as Manufacturer made/assembled upper. But in this market who knows. Get a general idea of what you spent on the parts then total and adjust from there. For me, I forget which barrels are on which upper on the ones I assembled. Hopefully you can remember or identify the parts.

Ballpark for complete upper, I’d say $450. Of course I have no idea on what parts were used, but $450 seems to be a decent selling price point.

It seems a lot of people lately are listing their ARs, thinking they can mark them up like they are gen 3 glocks, but they don’t sell.

I’ve bought 3 uppers in past 2 weeks:

First was a YHM complete upper in 6.8 with a $300 LWRC BCG for $500 shipped.
Second was a factory PSA 224 Valkyrie with magpul bipod and leupold vx3i scope for $550.
Third was Aero upper, with Rainier Barrel and match BCG, fortis rail, BCM CH for $420..

I think I got a great deal on them all, and a few of them had been listed for more than a day without being purchased.

Entirely depends on what brand upper you are selling and their condition. No different than selling a used car. A 2001 Honda Accord with 300,000 miles and peeling paint will sell for less than a 2019 Ferrari with 500 miles in showroom condition

                      ^^^THIS.

If it's a complete one-company upper, I'd sell it together. If it's a Franken-build, strip it for parts, sell individually (pain-in-the-butt, I know), and get your pound price out of 'em.

                        What are ya selling?

                        Maybe I'll buy one!

                        JMO on pricing;
I'd look up retail / MSRP, and price around that.

Depends of course on condition; are these 100% brand new, 10 rounds through them, 500, what?

I'd definitely break out the cost of the parts and give people the option to part out vs. buying the complete upper. Will help it sell quicker.
