    Wrist brace or support?

Well, the 50 years of shooting is taking it's toll. I'm beginning to have trouble with my strong side wrist. I'm down to shooting mostly .22, .38 special, and 9mm. Probably just arthritis setting in. Can anyone recommend a decent wrist support or glove/wrist support? I do need to practice with my weak side so it's a good incentive!
    Thanks, c good

For small frame handguns like a Glock or Sig P320, have you looked into Flux Defense, Gill Arm Lock or 1Shot CLA10?

    Flux Defense:

Gill Arm Lock (not sure if still in production):

    1Shot CLA10:

For large frame handguns like AR pistols, MP5, etc. I am sure you have seen all those braces available. It is exactly for cases like you these are made.

Disclaimer: Not sure on CA legality on these products. Some ADA items are required by law in CA and some are prohibited. If you are denied in using these products, I'm sure the CRPA would like to hear from you.

Good on you for staying active in shooting.
("active shooter" somehow does not sound right LOL)

I'd try some of those copperfit gloves. They're built LIKE shooter's gloves, and are supposed to be GOOD for arthritis sufferers!

Copper is just marketing crap to increase prices.

Get a good medical brace that has riged plastic in it which will support wrist and thumb.

How about a carpel tunnel brace. It may be to rigid with the metal brace at the wrist but I believe they are removable.

Still have not found good shooting gloves to help with wrist arthritis. As far as braces, they are like holsters, buy until you find the one that fits your and relieves some of the pain/swelling. I've had wrist fused, bones taken out and replaced with wire, nothing seems to help. What works one day, doesn't the next, still not ready to stop shooting or competing, keep looking. Compression anything seems to help, TommyCopper gloves fall apart too quickly as seams rip out, Amak gloves work but material too thin will fall apart after first wash. I've got a good thumb support that was prescription from hand surgeon and only covers thumb and I wear it on days following shooting, strictly for extra support. Doubt I could wear it during live fire session.
Start with compression gloves, neoprene if you can find them as it helps keep heat in problem area. Ive tried weight lifting gloves with wrist wrap support but too bulky and not able to wash away lead residue. Good luck and let us know if your find something that works as always looking for latest and greatest
