Yep. I've bought a few guns from gunshops in other states, because I saw their posting on Gunbroker.

This makes me think, what incentive does a store have to sell to me when one comes in when there is no time constraint when they could profit more instead and sell inventory online which is much more inflated than in person.

Yup, most will tell you that the firearm(s) are for sale in-store and will be pulled from display as soon as a GB bid is placed. Very common.

I only buy from a business on Gunbroker.

You will also.see Hardware stores in the Midwest selling guns. Common back there.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

This has been my experience. I have bought a several firearms off GB from sellers that run a gun store.

If you're a gun store owner in a small town that does not get a lot of foot traffic it makes perfect sense to use online auctions. It expands their customer base and they may get more for the gun than they would by selling it in their store.

I've bought stuff on gun broker that, as it turned out, happened to be sold by some gun shop in another state. I think a lot of shops will turn to gun broker when they have a hard time moving a piece of inventory in-store.

Yes, I have no problem with them selling used or old stock guns. I do have a problem with them listing Pythons on GB and not selling them at retail. Either they are an AD or they are not, they shouldn't get priority stock and not sell retail.
