Sorry about the thread title, I hate seeing morons in hollywood.
I was just watching the late night with Jimmy Fallon show, the actress Mary McCormack from "In Plain Sight" was on. She proceeded to tell a story about how she is always carrying the prop glock on her hip, sometimes a real one when they need her to fire blanks. (She made a point to correct herself when she said she wore it TO work, and meant AT work).
Then her story goes that she often forgets to take the glock off her hip. Then she explains how her 4 year old daughter was taking off her shoes and arguing with her, and she ended up pointing the glock at the girl and ordering her to put the shoes back on!

She found it funny what she did! And admitted to it on late night TV !

Stupid $#^#^$ hollywood.

If you're a gun enthusiast, don't watch gun movies. If you're a lawyer, don't watch movies about law. If you're a medical professional, don't watch medical shows. Doing so will only support the idea in your mind that everyone in the entertainment business is a bunch of uneducated retards . . . more so than before.

Where's child protective services when you need them? Save that child from her mother who might accidentally shoot and kill her with a gun!

Umm, there are a lot of us in the 'entertainment business' here on calguns FYI.
Everything from Visual Effects (like myself), to practical FX, grips, etc.

But I won't argue there are poor decisions made when it comes to the portrayal and use of firearms in TV/Film. We generally don't argue it, we just do our job.

I believe so. IIRC there was a squib load stuck in the barrel, and when the next blank round fired, it pushed it and hit Brandon Lee.

1. Firearms are allways loaded and should be treated as such.
2. Do not muzzle anything you can not afford to destroy.
3. Finger off the trigger until you've made the decision to shoot.
4. Know the target and what's behind it.
