    Do you CCW?

Look into CCW Safe or USCCA.

NRA offers insurance to its members. Other such organizations might as well.

You can get insurance from the NRA and a couple of the CCW organizations have insurance as well...Google is your friend; https://concealedcarrysociety.com/insurance-compared/

Also, make sure you max out the liability portion of your homeowners policy to $500k and then pick up an umbrella insurance policy above that...

Liability? Property Damage? Loss/Theft? Car? Fire? Homeowners? Medical? CCW?

Gun owners need the same insurance as most people, and may need even more types of coverage if you CC, have expensive and/or extensive firearms in your collection, or you hunt in areas not served by traditional emergency services.

You really need to be more specific as to what types of protection you are seeking. It is also somewhat income and asset dependent. If you make minimum wage and live in a rental, you probably can't afford most of the speciality insurance that targets the firearm industry. If you have a good paying job, own your home, and have assets, then you can't afford to not have good, comprehensive insurance.

Yes agree! We did that too. Most of us don't have CCW here in California, so don't bother with CCWSafe or USCCA. Also recommend reading Tom Givens book, even though title is called "Concealed Carry Class" the first few chapters Tom give excellent details on "appropriate use of force" and different levels of threat awareness.

Not sure what type of gun owner insurance is being discussed since OP has not replied with specifics.
If theft or loss due to a natural disaster is the issue it's easy to add a rider to your homeowner policy.
If it has to do with legal protection in a self defense shooting I'm not qualified to offer advice.

I use Eastern Insurance. They have a policy they call "The Historic Firearms, Collectibles and Sporting Arms Program" but there is no verbiage in the policy that is must be a "historic" or "collectible" firearm. $150/year for $50,000 in coverage from theft, fire, flood, etc.

from what i remember if your north of Bakersfield AAA homeowners cover firearms as personal property up to your personal property limit with no extra rider or cost and you dont have to list them. i did this for 33 years until they did not renew me this year because of their new fire map locations

Yes, in case I have to use it.

I still have no idea what type of insurance you're asking about.
