Save yer $ and buy from PSA on-line. They don't care what you look like. A local shop can assemble the lower if you don't want to.

Paying $$$ for a pony logo is a waste of $$$.

            Awesome? No.

I've been dealing with Turners for 30-years, through 3 owners, and no single store in the chain has ever been "awesome" - though Norwalk has come close at times. Reseda? FAR from awesome, on any day/week/month/year.

And yet, I've never had any real trouble with them except a couple of inventory issues where they stated and advertised they had something they didn't while even placing an order/purchase/DROS for it, and their $5.00 surcharge per transaction is a bit disingenuous.

However, I've seen with my own eyes Turners give some people a lot of grief and hell, make ridiculous amateur errors in paperwork or legal, with loads of wrong and more wrong, which wasn't deserved.

If you are like myself, with ALL my transactions with them - where you have no questions, need no assistance, are prepared with all your paperwork/ID/docs and locks, don't need to invite a monologue of cliche firearm myths and legal FUD from one of their reps, and you can just point to the thing in their case or on the back rack for them to fetch, ring it up, and do the paperwork - then sure, they are just OK. No awesome anywhere to be seen.

They are sometimes a benefit for their gun and accessory inventory, and their sales-prices (albeit that's ignoring the $5.00 padded bill) - but that's about it.

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?

Recommending Fort Courage Armory in Simi

This FFL pleasantly answers questions from new gun owners like myself. I went from 0 guns in early July to now awaiting my third bundle of joy (30 day ticking...). I researched my guns and found each available (Utah, Connecticut, Oregon) and had them all shipped to Tim and his family that run this great store. I also have two ammo shipments through them and have never been disappointed. Tues-Fri, 11-5.

I also have to give two thumbs up for many of the Ventura County FFL locations. Think my fathers gone to almost all of them in the county and has had positive experiences with most of them. Granted I'll admit my info might be kind of dated since I only visit the area annually.

VC Defense and Knights Tactical are both great places to go for almost anything AR-related, and both seemed quite knowledgeable on building them as well.

If your into reloading or just trying to find the widest variety of firearms available, Camarillo Gun Store has served my father well for years, albeit he admits that he gives credit to the change in ownership five or six years back. They also seem to be your best bet for finding any ammunition that isn't considered mainstream, so if you ever decide to try an exotic caliber, whether old or new, they're your best bet for finding it on the shelf instead of having to order it through a dealer.

Lastly, if your interested in trying to rent firearms to try, Shooter's Paradise/B&G Guns in Oxnard allows you to rent firearms to try at their indoor range and a shop in the same building so if you find something you like as a rental it's likely you'll find the same product in the gun shop as well.

Over the years. I have been to Fort Courage in Simi more than a few times. Very nice people to do business with.

Agreed, Calm Down on the Turners heckles . . . I shop there for some things, and other places as well. Don't pole-vault the rat-crap when you can step over it. Jeez.
