    Jerry Brown Quote on MillionMoronWatch.com

Jerry Brown - California Attorney General:

"The Brady Campaign was a real help in my campaign as they put the issue of gun violence squarely before the voters. As Attorney General, I plan to do all that I can to reduce gun violence in our state."

I think that's a noble goal. Any idiot with a lick of sense will realize that the only way to reduce gun violence (because after all, gun violence happens pretty much only to those that don't have guns, by those that do) is to make sure everyone has guns.

Gun violence is a problem here because of the restrictive gun laws....

Well said. Lets hope Brown sees it the same way.

Why would Mike care, Mike voted for Pooch right?

I just hope the relatioship between JB and the NRA turns out as good as Mike said it could, we dont need another 8 years of AM and the games played by the current AG.

          Meaningless politico-speak.

Can be interpreted to mean anything. Everyone wants to see reduced gun violence.

We'll learn his theory on how to get there soon enough. No need to be rude to him....

As I stated in a previous post..any politician getting a thumbs up endorsment from the brady bunch should get a thumbs down from us law abiding gun owners.

I'd take every dime Brady gave me and more if I ran for office, provided I could make statements above to secure the funding.

And I'd sleep well knowing I was taking money out of the hands of rabid antis.

Thank your neighbor and fellow gun owners for passing Prop 63. For that gun control is a winning legislative agenda.

Look at the wonderful job he did in Oakland relative to gun violence.

From an expert on such matters we get this regarding Jerry Brown:

                        Bill Clinton
“In 1990 he was pleading with the courts in California not to impose any limit on contributions. His law firm took $178,000 of taxpayers' money to beat a contribution-limits initiative in 1990. So I don't think you can take much of what he says seriously.” Citation:
Berke, Richard. “Brown and Clinton Shout It Out in a Debate.” New York Times. March 16, 1992.
                        --------------------------------------------------------------------------
“I feel sorry for Jerry Brown.”

Clinton accused Brown of being an unprincipled politician who “reinvents himself every year or two” and who is willing to “say anything” to get elected.”

                        Citation:
Lauter, David. “Brown and Clinton in Bitter Clash Democrats: Californian Accuses Opponent and Wife of Conflicts of Interest. Angry Clinton Calls Him an Unprincipled Politician.” Los Angeles Times. March 16, 1992.
                        --------------------------------------------------------------------------

One is right and the other wrong, or both are right or both are wrong.

Unless the new AG cleans house I suspect not much of anything will change.

I cant speak for Mike but I didnt take what he has said about the new AG as anything but "The NRA might be able to work with him" and calling him names might not help our cause.

If there was any arm bending going on it wasnt from Mike. After spaeking with the folks who are running the CA NRA they say JB will bite back if you attack him and seeing how he is in charge Id say we give the NRA a shot at working with him.

At not one time did I see anyone on this board endorse JB, not once and it wont happen even now, but the "inside scoop" that Mike shared with CalGuns is turning into a bad deal for him and Id liek to see him keep giving us info and not go elsewhere because he keeps getting jabs by the folks he helping out.

The fact is Pooch lost big just as Mike said he might and I hope he is right about what he said about JB willing to work with the NRA and us.

Just remember Pooch didnt loose the AG race because of anything that happened on Calguns.
