still have to use your thumb and still have to overcome spring tension from loading mags. It really doesn't solve anything.

Oh yeah... There's more manufacturers of 1911's than there ever has been. I'm looking forwards to seeing how it fares. If they run good, I'd bet most of us would at least pick up a couple to try out.

But that is a pretty unlikely outcome.. We can still hope!

I’m beginning to think I’m the only person that has no issue loading a mag by hand...

It's not an issue to load magazines by hand, I did it for years. But if there is an easier way why not go for it? If you go to the range and put 100 rounds through your 1911 that's 14 magazines. Put 100 rounds through your 40 S&W and that's 10 magazines. With the Maglula UpLULA you can load those magazines in less than half the time which means more time spent shooting.

I'm not interested in buying all new magazines when one UpLULA can handle 9mm through 45ACP single and double stacked.

As someone with a couple of .45's...

Own a few machine guns and get back to me after loading hundreds of rounds in various mags and belts by hand for just a 3 hour range session.

Only stuff I have load is MG42 belts. Takes me 2 hours for about 10 minutes of shooting.

Love my Uplula. Sure, you can do without, but why would ya?

Funny how good ideas seem to recycle...

Original issue with Luger P08; take down/reloader tool. Mag spring and small thumb button on the PO8 mag is a bear.

Yeah man, these work good on my glock and 1911 mags.
I'd sure like to find something that works as good on AR mags as well as these do.
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

Sometimes those dang 92fs metal lips give me boo-boos!

I use a maglula(sp) most of the time, it works very well, so why not?
