You should organize a protest. Then you can do whatever you want.

I just thought it was a fair question and a bit ironic that a member named "AreWeFree" mentioned we need to go through an FFL to trade some ammo. I'm not sure we need to. Yeah, I know what the law says, just not so sure a free man needs to obey every little law.

Each man needs to decide that for himself.

I'm free now, not in California anymore and can do whatever, whenever.

Good point though, decide for yourselves what is legal. Was just pointing it out so no one accidentally catches a charge by not knowing.

Diversity210, meet me just past the stateline and I'll trade my 5.56 with your 6.5 CM. We have no ammo transfer laws in NV. Bring your wife or kid, we trade our ammo and you give the ammo to your immediate family member to bring back to CA legally.

What kind of ammo and how many do you have?

I get it. I have four days left in California...

My apologies to the OP for going a little off the rails here, I just get so sick of the horrible infringements. I can't believe we have to discuss going to an FFL to trade a few boxes of ammo.

Fair question until you post it on the internet for all to see. Once public you become booty bandit bait. I would hate to see someone here get a criminal record for innocently trying to just trade ammo; the presumption being that two people that legally own ammo should be able to trade with friends and fellow enthusiasts. Unfortunately, that individual could become a notch on the belt of some JBT dickhead.

I could see where a guy could make some decent coin just being an ammo transfer dealer, kitchen table style. Especially with a reasonable price and hours on the weekend and early evenings.

Well a man that has a family to protect and provide for needs to obey every law. I am not good to them in jail selling off everything I own to pay for lawyers to get me out of the mess over something trivial such as a simple trade of ammo. My wife, niece, and nephew, whom I raise didnt chose that fight, so why should they have to suffer because I chose to not obey obviously ridiculous laws? They shouldn't. I understand that citizens of this country have been bestowed upon them an obligation to disobey tyrannical laws, but When you have a wife and kids. You dont really have that option, unless it was a law that was directly affect my wife and kids ability to survive, thrive, and live a descent life.

That would actually be pretty dope. Trading ammo in Calibers for guns you no longer own or something, or maybe you just got a little carried away with finding sales and bought to much ammo in one caliber and are running out of it in another Caliber. Hell I can remember going in the store once to buy 45acp and walking are with 45 colt. I wasn't paying attention and the employee at the store definitely wasn't paying attention. I haven't seen a store yet where you can return ammo so I was stuck with like 300 rounds of 45 colt that I couldn't shoot and couldn't return. A trading post would have been just right for that situation
