Buying an Ar pistol lower only in ca

I'm new to the forum so forgive me if this question has been belabored and beaten into the ground already. With the high demand for all ARs and the upcoming election, I want to get an AR pistol fearing a nationwide ban if Biden gets elected. I have no intention of building a complete AR pistol until I (eventually) move out of the state in the next couple years.

My question is this: can I legally purchase and/or bring an an AR pistol lower in CA (provided it doesn't have a a SBR stock) as long as I never attach it to an upper?

Thanks for any feedback and again, sorry if this is the millionth post on the subject.

You would have to find one to transfer via PPT, most likely from someone with a LEO exemption.

Assuming you live in CA and by bringing in you mean out of state stransfer, this would be a no because of the handgun roster. Only PPT with someone in the state.

Just buy some receivers now in CA, and never build them as rifles. Then when you move out of state you can legally build them as pistols.

Anyone worried about a Biden/Harris win should be stockpiling lowers. Actually, should have done it years ago. Anderson lowers are awesome and were $39/ea at Turners last summer.

The OP could start with a Franklin Armory CA7, currently out of stock, and convert to a freedom configuration once ha leaves CA.
