Origionaly I ordered an M16 National Match Chrome BCG from YM. Expecting wait time of 5 weeks.

I ended up snagging the same thing for less on PK's site, so I called YM and they confirmed that the cancled my order.

The BCG I got from PK is out of spec and fails 5.56 no-go testing. I have been trying to reach YM with no response. I have tried calling them every day, leaving messages, and even emailing them. No response for over a week now.

Today I got a confirmation that my order has hipped out and I was billed $240 for the BCG I already cancled the order from.

Great, now I have paid almost $500 bones for a BCG's I do not need, and one which is out of spec...

just put them up for sale and call it a loss....or have the head space issue corrected. call your gun smith.

How could it be corrected? We tested in 2 brand new uppers...Currently I have a different YM, M16 National Match BCG that works fine in there...

I should not have to call it a loss. Why should I take a loss on an order I cancled or after receiving a defective part? This stuff is still brand new, never fired.

If anything I will dispute the payments on my credit card, but I'm hoping they see this first and can do something about it.

The same thing happened to me last week. I bought a young n/m bcg from pk and canceled my order with young. I even got two emails confirming that they were canceled. About two weeks went by and i got a phone call from young that they were unable to ship a m16 match carrier to CA. First i told her that my order was canceled weeks ago. She said it was a good thing she called because they were going to bill and ship me one anyways. She did not get the cancellation notice for my order. I tried to explain to her that they can ship the m16 carrier to CA and it is not against the law. Im sorry to hear that you got an out of spec one though. I would send it back to them. Good luck

i did the same thing, was waiting on ym but snagged one from pk. Except i only emailed ym about canceling my order. They have a phone line but it seems to sit in the closet because i have only got them to answer one out of the thousands times ive called Too be honest i wouldnt mind if they ship anyways because im already planning my next build. Its been about 4/5 weeks so well see

How could it be corrected?

The bolt is out of spec. Just change the bolt, there's no need to do anything to the bolt carrier.
If the bolt turns when you put in the No-Go gauge into the barrel chamber, then the locking lugs on the bolt are not interferring with the barrel extension lugs like they should. Since you can't add metal to the lugs, use a new bolt that's in spec.

Am I missing something here, because I used to use Go and No-Go gauges to headspace M-16's once and I don't think it would be different for a civilian AR?

The bolt is out of spec. Just change the bolt, there's no need to do anything to the bolt carrier.

Sounds right to me, but the fact that it is a new YM Chrome bolt that is out of spec that is the issue. I don't want to just buy another one, it should be in spec,as it is new and was not cheap. I'll keep calling them until they get tired of me and make it right

i think the one they sent you was the out of spec one and you want to return it for your money back. Not a new one.

actually I would not mind having a working one, then I can sell the regular AR-15 version that is coming with my upper and also sell / return the defective YM BCG. I don't need 4 BCG's for 2 AR's though...

got a hold of YM today, and PK called me back as well. Going to send it back for them to check out. In the meantime I'll be able to use the one they shipped me on accident so I guess it all works out.
