    Help ID a part

Found this in a box of random military/gun-related misc. junk I collected over many years.
It has some pitting and rust, and near-impossible to open/close(maybe because it is not attached to whatever it goes on.)
Just trying to see what firearm this may be for.

It's for a "shoulder thing that goes up".
"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain..."

looks like it goes to a tubular AR type pistol folding stock?

some type of pistol design stock adapter, something that doesnt use a buffer tube

Yes it's a folder adapter for AR style tubes that don't actually have a buffer. So it will work on a 22lr conversion kit, sig mcx upper, Brownells brn180. But I bet it came off an AK. There are some that have adapters to accept AR tube/stocks I suspect this one was just a folder kit for over of those.
