So let me get this straight. Some of you think that moving to another state will get you free of price gouging?
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

I was pondering moving back in to California to take advantage of off roster price gouging, as long as it's the people asking to be gouged. I can take two months off of work, sell 6 guns, and get back out
Did I miss the boat on selling AR and AK pistols? Something in my head says the AW Bill a couple years ago made it so they can't be sold.
Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

A hundred bucks for a box of primers?!?! If someone wants to pay I would sell.
I once pondered over the debate of 9mm vs. .40, then I was introduced to .38 super and 10mm and forgot all about it.

Ha ha, I was at the range and the guys next to me were making fun of this gun that one of them brought. He let me test it out and it was such a joke. It's basically a double action semi, reset was all the way back at the start of the pull and the whole thing felt like a toy, more so than a Glock....

If I was not at my annual PPT limit, I would sell my 1911 9mm SS Target with extras for $950, my Kahr PM9 with IWB holster for $400, my Gen4 G17 plus 22 conversion for $1k, and P226 for $900, which I think is reasonable in today’s climate. Instead, I sold several pistols to my friends earlier this year, like my G19 with Trijicon NS for $450...oh well, this is Capitalism. Anyone that buys/sells stocks for fun should understand the current environment (I.E. why is Tesla valued more than ford or GM).

And in before Endless shows up to tell us all about $2800 SCAR 17’s and such.

                      ^^^^^^^^ this

There two very simple things you can do to prevent being “gouged”

                      1.) DON’T BUY
2.) Buy when times are fat, say 6-12 months ago or 12-18 months from now.

Your in-ability to be prepared, either by choice or laziness, is not my fault nor responsibility.

A fool and his money are soon parted, from his wallet to mine,
and I have no issue with that.

There are past cases of charges filed due to it.

However, they aren't classifying firearms and ammunition in that perspective, particularly because there are still various makes and models of firearms and calibers of ammunition available to achieve self-defense - they may not be the one you "want" but the necessity could easily be satisfied.
Beyond not adding firearms to lodging, food, water, fuel, etc., there's a major difference in how quickly basic needs covered by law v. guns and ammo...it's a biatch not to have the guns and ammo you need, but you've had more than enough time to stock up.

OP, you're free to use the Ignore function so that your tender socialist tendencies aren't so abused by the process of free market pricing. On the other hand, I'm equally free to use it so that I don't have to see any of your socialist whining.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!
