Glock 17 to use Glock 19 mag?

I have a quick question if you have a Glock 17 can you use Glock 19 mag? Or any other mag that will fit a Glock 17.. I heard Glock 17 mag can be use for Glock 19? Thanks for your time

G19 mags fit G19 and below
G26 mags fit G26 only.

Similar with .40 (G22/35, G23, G27)

You can go long to short, but not short to long.

If you tried to use a G19 mag in a G17, you'd see it won't fit.

You can have the grip chopped on a 17 so it fits 19 mags.
Cheaper to just buy more mags for your 17 though.

Long magazines fits short grips. Short mags do not fit long grips.

Also, Pretty much all gens of Glock fit each other. For example, my Gen 5 G17 mag will fit into my Gen 3 G19s. Exceptions include older mags into Gen 4s and 5s that had the mag release switched to left hand operation. My old 30 rd mag will fit my Gen 5 G17 and all other Gen 3 pistols. Like this Gen 3 G26
