The white dots on my SA 1911 Mil-Spec have gotten grungy and less prominent over the years, and it seems like it might be about time to repaint them. Any suggestions on a good high viz paint? I don't have the money to switch out for a new set of tritium sights, so I'm resorting to a cheaper option for now.

I used a good (Testers) enamel hobby paint.
Make sure it is enamel and not acrylic. -
Just used some white nail polish. Worked greatComment

Been using this for years with excellent results
If you are trying to color fill some dots it is best to apply some of the paint to a paper plate or something similar and then use a toothpick to get some and apply it to the sights. Be sure and apply the white basecoat first and let it dry completely before applying the color.Last edited by SkyHawk; 08-04-2020, 11:15 PM.Comment

If you use Testors make sure it is the gloss white not the regular white. I bought some of the regular white at Michaels and it sucked for pistol sights as it was hard to see. I then went and got the gloss and it makes the sights pop out. You will need to go to a hobby shop to get the gloss white paint as Michaels doesn't carry it.Comment
