    Inherited collections?

Hi all, posted over in FFL, but not a whole lot of activity over there. Wondering if anyone can help me with a scenario.

Hypothetically, if someone's passes away, and leaves a firearm collection to his son, who then passes away, leaving the original collection to HIS son, what steps would be needed to sell vintage long arms, and pistols?

    Thanks!

If the grandson who now owns them and wants to sell. It is the regular Private Party Transfer at the gunstore.

Surprisingly no documents or chain of possession/ownershiop is required.

Probably because there are millions legally unregistered guns in Calif. DOJ does not seem to care who is selling. Only who is buying.

Would the age of the "son of the son" have any bearing on what the current "son" can do with the collection???
