Remington files ch 11 2nd time in two years

Maybe I am late to the party, but Newsmax.com is carrying a story on the 2nd filing under ch 11 for the 2nd time in two years, looking for a buyer.

They have been managed poorly for quite some time now. They need to be bought by someone who wants to bring back the quality not try to cut costs and squeeze a extra dime out of them.
Their biggest hurdle is that they are so big and expensive they cannot attract a buyer they need a group or investors who do just what they dont need...

They could easily be turned around as their shotguns are great designs they just need to up the quality and even expand on their high end offerings.

Quality would be an improvement but their designs as good as they are are long in the tooth. There was s nothing exciting about their product line up. Now if they could bring the modularity of the AR platform to the bolt action platform then you would have something.

They had been partnered with mdt to do exactly that. It was expensive though and they didn't offer many models with all the different mdt options.

            Poor Remington,

I have certainly done my part to support them. My new Long Range 30-06 is awesome! Shot a 4 shot .64 inch group. The rifle was well put together and finish was excellent. I wish them all the best. A2
